The Hams Prairie Christian Church was founded on August 1st, 1864. The first historical record of the church reads as follows: "We whose names are hereunto subscribed, believing the scriptures to be the work of God and the only rule of faith and practice, have organized ourselves into a congregation or church of Jesus Christ, for the purpose of worshipping God and attending to the ordinances of Jesus Christ." We have stuck to that mission for over 150 years, and plan to continue to do so until Jesus returns.
